There are lots of benefits of exercising. When you’re trying to lose weight the process is sped up considerably through exercise.
Not only this, but there are lots of other reasons for exercising. Your body is like a machine; it needs specific food for sustenance and to ensure it runs smoothly. In this same way your muscles need to be stretched and worked so they stay in good shape and working order.
There is a wealth of knowledge proven through scientific research which supports the benefits of exercising.
Here are some reasons you should exercise:
- it controls your weight. Exercise will give you an athletic, toned look rather than lots of loose skin as a result of dieting alone
- Your health will improve. If you have high cholesterol, blood pressure or risk of heart disease, you will benefit from exercise greatly. A regular cardio workout will lower your risk of health problems
- Your skin will look its best. When you perspire your skin is benefiting from the most natural moisturizer; your own sweat. It sounds off-putting but it’s a fact
- The more you exercise, the less likely you’ll be to develop type 2 diabetes which affects one in 10 people. Your blood sugar levels will be more healthy than if you didn’t exercise
- Working out can even help you to overcome anxiety disorders and stress. You release feel-good hormones and adrenaline when you exercise and break in to a sweat
- Your body will become stronger, promoting a strengthened immune system. This means you’ll get ill less and be able to cope with viruses and illnesses better than before.
- In the future you’ll be less likely to be obese, develop arthritis and other bone affecting diseases like osteoporosis
- For women, exercise has another benefit. Your menstrual cycle will be more regular and less painful if you suffer from irregular, painful periods
The benefits of exercise are huge. Exercise is good for you all round. It is recommended that you exercise for at least 30 minutes daily, splitting your time between cardio, strength training and stretching.

I (like many readers, I suspect) read your blog through an RSS feed. So commenting involves clicking on the link to your actual site, remembering my wordpress username (which usually takes a trip to my email account where it’s saved), and then remembering the password I’ve chosen.

Hi Ashlyn,
Thank you for visiting and putting up with the red tape to read my RSS feed. I will check into a new RSS feed format. Please be patient while I work this out. My site is older and some of the plugins don’t install properly. I’m having the same issue with making my site more mobile phone friendly.
Kind Regards,
Mark
