Everyone is talking about juicing for overall good health. Why? Because your body is over 60 per cent liquid, and therefore requires a high amount of liquid (found naturally in raw fruits and vegetables) to sustain a healthy functioning digestive system. The following juice recipes are a great way to introduce juicing as part of your lifestyle, and can be consumed in place of a meal, so make enough and take your time drinking them!
Breakfast smoothie
Blend together 2 handfuls of berries of your choice, a nectarine, half a peeled pineapple, 1tbsp honey, 5 tbsp live yogurt, and 2 tbsp of oat bran in a blender. An excellent source of vitamin C and is filling so great for breakfast.
Go Green with Health
Juice half a cucumber, 2 sticks of celery, a handful of spinach, 3 green apples, half a lime peeled, half a green pepper, small handful of broccoli and 2 inches of fennel. Packed with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, calcium, iron, folic acid, and fibre.
Creamy Dream
Blend together 1 peeled avocado, 1 banana, a handful of strawberries, ¼ of a pineapple, 6 tbsp of live yogurt and 1 kiwi together. If the smoothie is too thick add soya milk. This provides fibre, ‘good’ fats, protein and potassium, as well as being very tasty!
Vegetable ‘Soup’
Juice together 1 stick of celery, 3 tomatoes, half a cucumber, 2 carrots, a handful of wheatgrass (or wheatgrass powder if unavailable), and a handful of parsley and of spinach. This refreshing juice is a great cleanser, and provides a source of lycopene, beta-carotene and calcium.
Energy Zing
Juice together 2 apples, 1 orange and ½ a lemon (peeled), 1 kiwi, handful of black grapes, ¼ peeled pineapple, ½ inch of ginger, and handful of berries (of your choice). This tasty juice recipe is full of antioxidants, and is a sure fire way to give you that energy ‘zing’ at any time of day.

Man, talk about a good post! I’ve stumbled across your blog a few times within the past, but I usually forgot to bookmark it. But not again! I’d say if you’re looking to lose weight avoid Gatorade. It messes up your Thyroid due to the Bromide in it. The High Fructose COrn Syrup prevents weight loss too….
