Energy Drinks All the Same?
Sunday, September 6th, 2009 Blog, Efusjon Drinks by efusjonEnergy Drinks are almost a necessity in today’s world, with all the activities we have going on. Most people find themselves looking for that extra boost of energy and when they do, they then have to figure out which energy drink beverage will best meet their need. There are drinks which offer energy for a certain period of time along with all kinds of other benefits. There are a multitude of flavors available from coffee to some exotic fruit flavors, if you can imagine it, then it is probably out there. Anything you could possibly want is on the shelves of your favorite store or a site online. Here is the challenging part, which energy drink is the best for you or is there such a drink?
The vast majority of energy drinks in the marketplace today are loaded with caffeine, sugar, and a list of ingredients from A-Z that the masses don’t recognize and cannot pronounce. If you are at all health conscious, you have to ask yourself if those are things you want to put in your body, but today it is not just those that health conscious that are having second thoughts. It’s parents with teenagers, high school coaches that are concerned about their athletes consuming these products. Do you really want to drink or have those you know, love and care about drinking an energy drink that comes with a warning label? I think not. There are lots of factors to consider: the amount of calories, the amount of sugar but not just the amount of sugar but what it is derived from. The majority of these drinks are loaded with caffeine, they also have Guarana Seed Extract which is rich in caffeine as well. A lot of the energy drinks on the market contain more caffeine than daily recommended dosage, too much caffeine is unhealthy. Some energy drinks have as much as 300 milligrams of caffeine. Because these drinks are loaded with sugar and caffeine many times the person consuming them experience or can experience a variety of issues such as nervousness, difficulty concentrating, problem sleeping, not to mention the crash after it wears off. So are there any actual healthy energy drink available that don’t require a warning label?
The good news is absolutely yes there is. There are energy drinks which offer less sugar, fewer calories and also less caffeine but it does not end there. There are now energy drinks that have their main ingredients as the acai berry, mangosteen and quercetin. They also have vitamins and minerals, plus no preservatives. These are all natural and guilt free, no warning label and as an added bonus taste great. These beverages provide that extra energy boost, help with a person’s mood all without the crash. No sudden increase of energy, but a gradual increase that you notice over time. Once you pick up a can the first you notice is there is no warning label telling you these are not for pregnant women, children etc. They don’t tell you not to consume more than three in a day, that alone adds some peace of mind, as we stated at the beginning we could all use more energy and now it is available in healthy energy drinks. No warning label but also a label of ingredients that you can actually understand. So the next time you need a boost of energy reach for a healthy energy drink and one that is not about hype or how much was spent on advertising to get you to buy it. Just realize there are healthy energy drinks that you and your family can enjoy.
